AVISA is proud to announce the next AVSP meeting, to be held on
Vancouver Island, July 24-27, 2005
AVSP 2005 has two parts:
Papers & Posters (24 - 26 July)
The first two and a half days of the meeting will consist of guest
lectures, paper and poster presentations, eating, drinking, and
discussion. In addition to the usual foci on aspects of the production,
perception, and modeling of multimodal speech production, this year
we will focus on the anatomical and physiological structures underlying
multimodal speech processing.
Hands-on Demonstration of the 3D Full-head
Modeling System (27 July)
An extra day has been set aside for hands-on demonstration of
the 3D full-head modeling system - ArtiSynth - being developed at
UBC by Sidney Fels and colleagues. The system is now ready for evaluation
by researchers interested in a comprehensive modeling platform for
the head, face, and vocal tract. There will be no additional charge,
but people interested in participating in this extra day's activity
should indicate their interest when they register for the meeting.
